Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel, lodge, or residence in Arusha. After a short briefing from your guide, you will depart the city and begin your journey towards Tarangire National Park.

The drive from Arusha to Tarangire takes around 2 hours. Along the way, you will pass local towns and Maasai areas, offering a glimpse of everyday life in northern Tanzania.

After arrival at the park gate, your safari experience begins. Tarangire is known for its large elephant population. The park’s landscapes are dramatic and varied, with golden grasslands, acacia woodland, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River drawing wildlife throughout the day.

As you explore the park in your 4×4 safari vehicle, keep your camera ready for zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and many bird species. Tarangire is also home to predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, though sightings depend on timing and luck.
