Your Safari Experience
This 7-day safari lets you explore Tanzania’s most famous wildlife areas, beginning and ending in Arusha. The trip follows the path of the Great Migration, including the wide open Serengeti plains and guided game drives for amazing wildlife sightings.
You will explore both Central and Northern Serengeti, where vast herds of wildebeest and zebra roam, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards thrive. In the north, near the Mara River, you may witness dramatic river crossings, depending on the season, one of Africa’s most powerful natural spectacles.
The safari ends with a visit to the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater, famous for its high density of wildlife in a small area. With its amazing scenery, diverse habitats, and memorable wildlife encounters, this trip offers a full Tanzania experience.
Safari Highlight
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for relaxation after your journey.
In the evening, we’ll give you a short safari briefing, going over the route, what to expect, and some helpful tips before your adventure starts.
Overnight at Njiro Legacy.
Day 2: Arusha to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, depart Arusha for Serengeti National Park. The drive passes through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering amazing views along the way.
Upon entering Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate, begin your first game drive en route to your lodge or camp. You may encounter abundant wildlife and migrating herds.
Dinner and overnight in Lala Salama Serengeti Camp.
Day 3: Full Day in Central Serengeti
Today is dedicated to a full day of game drives in Central Serengeti, famous for exceptional wildlife viewing. You will search for the wildebeest migration and enjoy the park’s abundant wildlife.
The Seronera area is especially known for big cats, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, making it an exciting day for wildlife lovers. You will enjoy your picnic lunch in the bush and continue with the game drive until later in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at Lala Salama Serengeti Camp.
Day 4: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, you will continue your safari towards the Northern Serengeti, following the migration. As you drive north, you will enjoy game viewing along the way and explore different parts of the park.
Depending on the season, the herds may be spread across the northern area near the Mara River, where many travelers hope to witness dramatic river crossings. Your guide will do their best to locate the best wildlife action based on herd movement.
Dinner and overnight at Safari Haven Migration Camp.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti Game Drive
You can start the day with an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti plains at sunrise. This unique experience provides stunning aerial views of the landscape and wildlife.
Afterward, continue with a morning game drive in Northern Serengeti. Later, return to Central Serengeti with additional game viewing en route. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your camp or lodge, as your program allows.
Dinner and overnight at Safari Haven Migration Camp.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will depart Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive inside the famous Ngorongoro Crater.
This is one of the best places in Tanzania to see a high concentration of animals in a single day. The crater is home to elephants, lions, buffalos, flamingos, hyenas, hippos, and, if lucky, even the rare black rhino. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater floor before continuing with your game drive.
Dinner and overnight near Ngorongoro or Karatu, depending on your accommodation plan.
Day 7: Drive Back to Arusha
After breakfast, you will begin the drive back to Arusha. This is a good time to relax and enjoy the last views of the beautiful Tanzanian landscape after an unforgettable safari experience.
Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or another preferred location, according to your departure plans.
