This 2-day Tanzania safari is designed for travelers staying in Zanzibar who want to experience two of the Northern Circuit’s most iconic parks in a short time. You will fly to Arusha, enjoy a full game drive in Tarangire National Park, spend the night in a comfortable lodge, then continue to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a final wildlife experience before flying back to Zanzibar the same evening. It’s a fast, well-organized safari that delivers excellent chances of seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many more species, with all logistics handled from pickup to drop-off.

Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar and a transfer to the airport for your 7:00 a.m. flight to Arusha, which takes around one hour. On arrival at Arusha Airport at approximately 9:00–9:30 a.m., you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and escorted to your private 4×4 safari vehicle. From here, you will drive directly to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated gems, known for its ancient baobab trees, wide open savannah, and impressive elephant population. After entering the park, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot and then continue with an extended afternoon game drive, searching for wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest, and a wide variety of birdlife. In the early evening, you will leave the park and transfer to Moonbow Lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Fly back to Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, with the drive taking approximately 2.5 hours depending on road conditions. Once you arrive at the crater rim, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most unique safari destinations. The crater floor is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, offering excellent chances to spot the Big Five in a single day, along with zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and many bird species, all set against dramatic landscapes. You will enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, then continue your game drive before ascending back to the rim in the afternoon. After the safari, you will drive to Arusha Airport in time for your Evening flight back to Zanzibar. On arrival, you will be met and transferred back to your accommodation in Zanzibar.
