Your Safari Experience
Experience a 4-day Tanzania camping safari that includes Tarangire, Serengeti National Park, and the renowned Ngorongoro Crater, each offering unique landscapes and exceptional wildlife. The itinerary includes a budget Lodge, a budget-friendly option in Mto wa Mbu, and a stay in a dome tent. The safari begins and ends in Arusha, and is offered at competitive rates.
Safari Highlight
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
You will be picked up at 8:00 am to meet your guide. The drive to Tarangire National Park takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The park is known for its diverse scenery, ancient baobabs, and Tanzania’s largest elephant herds. Enjoy a game drive to spot cheetahs, lions, giraffes, and zebras.
Lunch will be served at the Tarangire picnic site, which offers excellent views of the river and surrounding wildlife. You may also see monkeys and birds nearby during your meal.
After lunch, you will continue the game drive, then exit the park and proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will begin your journey to the Serengeti. The route includes a scenic game drive through the crater highlands along a long, occasionally bumpy road before reaching the Serengeti plains.
The drive usually takes four to five hours. If the weather permits, you’ll stop at the crater viewpoint past the Ngorongoro gate for a 10-minute break to view the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing to Serengeti.
You will have a hot lunch at the Serengeti Naabi Hill gate, then check in at the park for an afternoon game drive. In the evening, proceed to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Highlands
Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti to see as much wildlife as possible. Afterwards, return to camp for lunch. Then, at noon, begin your 2-3 hour journey to the Ngorongoro highlands.
Along the way in the Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoy breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. In the evening, proceed to Simba Public Camp for a restful night and reflect on the day’s experiences.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
You’ll begin your day at 6:00 am, entering the crater with a packed breakfast. The area is home to diverse East African wildlife, including the rare black rhino. The crater covers about 260 square kilometres with a diameter of approximately 20 kilometres, so you’ll spend five to six hours exploring.
After exploring, return to the campsite for a hot lunch, then begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving around 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Drop-off at Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport is available.
