Your Safari Experience
This 2-day Tanzania camping safari offers an introduction to Tarangire National Park and the renowned Ngorongoro Crater, both known for their distinctive landscapes and diverse wildlife. You will spend one night at Fig Tree Lodge, a budget-friendly option in Mto wa Mbu. The safari begins and ends in Arusha. Our rates are highly competitive.
Safari Highlight
Day 1 Tarangire National Park
You will be picked up from your accommodation at 7:30 am and introduced to your guide. The journey to Tarangire National Park takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The park is known for its varied scenery, ancient baobab trees, and the largest elephant herds in Tanzania. You will enjoy a game drive in search of cheetahs, lions, giraffes, and zebras.
Lunch will be served at the Tarangire picnic site, which offers excellent views of the Tarangire River and its wildlife. During lunch, you may encounter small monkeys and birds nearby.
After lunch, you will continue with the game drive and later exit the park, driving to Fig Tree Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will descend to the Ngorongoro Crater, considered to be one of the eight wonders of the world.
Ngorongoro Crater is home to over 120 animal species, including the Big Five, making it one of the world’s premier safari destinations. It is one of the few places where you can see the endangered black rhino and large numbers of hippopotamus.
From your open-top vehicle, you will have the opportunity to observe a variety of animals, including lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras, elephants, and Cape buffalo.
After exploring the crater, you will visit the hippo pool for lunch. You will then continue the game drive before ascending the crater and returning to your accommodation in Arusha or proceeding to the airport for your flight.
