Safari Highlight
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure with Kiota Adventures begins today! After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by the driver/guide and driven to Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna, and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe.
After a full day in the park, you will drive to your Tarangire campsite, where you will be able to relax, enjoy dinner, and have an overnight inside the park.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Today you will wake up early in the morning to catch the sunrise. You will continue with a short game drive before departing the park and continuing to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro gate.
This will be a game drive en route, followed by a sunset game drive upon arrival in the Serengeti.
Dinner and overnight will be at Tumbili Campsite.

Day 3-5: Serengeti National Park
Today you will have a full day game drive exploring the beautiful scenery of the Serengeti while searching for the Big Five.
You will start the day at around 6:00am with a sunrise game drive, stop in the middle of the savannah to enjoy breakfast, and proceed with game drives for the rest of the day.
Later, you will drive back to Tumbili Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Today you will wake up very early in the morning for a sunrise game drive to spot animals when they are more active and enjoy a fantastic sunrise in the African savanna.
The sunrise in the African savanna is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have.
Later at noon, you will return to the campsite for a hot lunch and then continue to Simba Campsite in Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
Today you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early at around 6:00am.
The crater is inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino, and has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet.
It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake full of flamingos, forests, and open plains. The large bull elephants here have extremely large tusks due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil.
After a 5-hour game drive, you will ascend to the campsite for lunch and then drive to Fig Tree Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, the tour to Lake Eyasi starts, arriving in time for lunch.
You will then explore the lake with a local guide. During the dry season, you will walk through the dried lake and surrounding bush.
Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe Cultural Experience)
Lake Eyasi is a seasonal shallow salt lake located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley at the base of the Serengeti Plateau.
Today you will spend time with the Hadzabe tribe, engaging in real hunting activities. The Hadzabe are hunters and gatherers who live a traditional lifestyle, hunting animals such as dik-diks and collecting honey.
Their huts are simple and easily abandoned, and they speak a unique click language.
After this cultural experience, you will depart to Fig Tree Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located just a few minutes from your accommodation.
Lake Manyara is a small but diverse park, known for its shallow salt lake, thousands of flamingos, and over 500 bird species.
During your game drive, you may see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and with some luck, lions resting in trees.
After the game drive, you will drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari adventure.
